Ultimate Six Frock Coat -
this can only mean one thing

So if I show you this photo - it can only mean one thing . . .

  2. Hi

I'm in the process of putting together a 50th anniversary Doctor outfit, combining articles from every Doctor. It's going pretty well but I have hit a problem: every Doctor's coat is a signature item and dominates the costume. E.g. If I have Peter Davison's coat, I look like a 5th Doctor cosplayer with Who accessories ;)

My solution is to make a coat which combines the necessary elements.

I have a 3/4 length tuxedo coat I was using as a 1st Doctor coat.

My intention is to use that as a base and then add elements of other Doctor's. For example, I'd like to add beige fabric to the lapels and cuffs (with red piping :)).

I'm just wondering if this would work or look silly? Adding to the lapels / cuffs is one thing, adding to other areas seems more difficult.

Part of me wonders if I should just commission a coat of unique design.

Any advice? You can e-mail me at dth@oroborus.biz

    Thanks

    Dorian
